Wedding Rental and Purchase Terms and Conditions
 
​Please read these details to clarify the rental and purchase process.
​

$50 Registration Fee – Does not go towards Suit

  • $50 non-refundable group registration fee will be charged at time of registration. This covers a 1-hour consultation, group booking of all rentals, locked in pricing, monitoring wedding styles and measurements, contacting customers when rentals are ready, exchanges, and other group needs. This cannot be waived.

  • Cancellation of Wedding with Samuel’s will result in forfeiture of the $50 registration fee. 

  • Bride and Groom are responsible for all wedding rentals. We will keep your credit card on file from registration fee for any additional fees (late, lost, or other fees). We will always attempt to collect from the wearer in the wedding first.

Pricing and Charges

  • Upon completion of your registry, we will provide you with the total price for each rental. 

  • Please inform everyone in your wedding party of the cost of their rental. 

  • Prices will be as quoted for you on the Wedding Registry Form, no exceptions.

  • Rental coat sleeve alterations will be charged a $5 alteration fee. No other alterations are allowed on rental products (example: taking in coats, moving buttons, taking in pants). If any other alterations are done, customers will be charged the replacement fee. 

  • Tuxedos canceled the week of wedding cannot be refunded if they have already arrived at the store.

  • Cancellation or change of any member of the wedding party within two weeks of the wedding date will result in a $50.00 charge to the original down payment.

  • No refunds for rentals tried on and taken out of the store. 

  • Changes of style and/or color made within 10 days of the Use Date will be subject to an additional single item price rental and special delivery charges.

Measurements

  • All persons in a wedding party must be professionally measured (at a tuxedo rental store or men’s store) to insure proper fit. 

  • Measurement forms are available for out-of-town people. If they are not able to meet the in-store try on deadline-they can pay $15 for the suit to ship to their house 1-2 weeks before the event.

  • Measurement forms can be emailed to you.

  • Measurements are needed 8-10 weeks in advance of the wedding. Children’s measurements can be submitted later due to growing.

  • A down payment of $100 payment is due at the time of measurement. 

  • A credit card has to be present and saved on file at time of measurement or before the rental can be picked up.

  • Measurements received within 14 days of the wedding date will result in a $10.00 express fee.

  • If any replacements are required based on measurements taken elsewhere, the customer may be charged shipping fees.

Rental Pick Ups

  • Rentals are guaranteed to be available at least 2 business days before the wedding/event.  

  • We will contact you as soon as rentals arrive for early pick-ups. 

  • We require that everyone try them on in store as soon as the rentals are ready. 

  • Please try on rental for final fitting before 5:00 pm Thursday (for Saturday and Sunday weddings) to ensure proper fit. 

  • “Guaranteed Fit” applies only when the tuxedo is tried on in the store.

  • By trying on in store our Professional Staff will ensure proper fit, explain how the rental should fit and make all final adjustments. This will save embarrassment and provide time for everyone to dress in time for the event! 

  • Please avoid picking up all the rentals at the same time.  It may result in having long waiting times for dressing rooms and causing your party unnecessary delays.

Returning Rentals

  • All rentals are due back on the store’s next open business day.

  • All rentals must be returned in rental garment bags and on the original hangers or there is a $10 Fee.

  • A late fee of $25.00 per tuxedo per store’s business day will be charged for any tuxedo not returned in entirety on the due date. If the individual does not pay, the card on file will be charged.

  • Accidental damage to your rental is covered by a $10 damage waiver. The customer is responsible for lost items or malicious damage to the tuxedo. Any items missing from the rental upon return will be subject to the replacement cost of the missing items. If the wearer is unable to pay replacement cost, the amount will be deducted from the groom’s credit card on file. 

  • Replacement Retail Costs: Coats $250-$450, Vest - Full Back $85.00 & Backless $65.00, Pants $95.00 - $120.00, Bow Tie $15.00, Long Tie and Suspenders $25.00, Shoes $65.00, Garment Bag $15.00, and Studs & Links $10.00.

Payments

  • Please inform your party that Samuel’s Menswear requires at least a $100 non-refundable rental prepayment when they submit their measurements to place their tuxedo order. Purchase items must be paid in full before the purchase order can be placed (no later than 3 months prior to the event date.  

  • Please confirm with individuals at the party that they will be responsible for the cost of their tuxedo.

  • Items must be paid for before leaving the store, no exceptions. 

  • Payments accepted are Discover, Mastercard, American Express, and Visa or Cash.

Purchase Suits

  • Measurements are required at least 3 months in advance of the event date. (Purchase items not available in children’s sizes.) This allows time to guarantee each size, shipping, and do any alterations.

  • Any special-order items must be paid in full before ordering. 

  • Additional charges for alterations. Ask Samuels consultant what alterations are available. 2 weeks must be given for alterations. No refunds after alteration are completed. 

  • Purchase items may be shipped to any person out of town for an additional $25 shipping charge per garment.  

  • Purchase refunds may be issued only if the garments are unworn, have the original tags and packages and are unaltered.  No refunds can be made after any alterations.  Must have original receipt. Restocking fees may apply.

  • We suggest that all purchase items be tried on at the earliest convenience but no later than 2 weeks prior to the event date.  This allows time for any necessary alterations.
